Among the many events is Santa’s arrival, and the day is concluded with a Living Nativity so authentic you’ll be amazed. The kids love the live camel. 3:30-5pm organ music and tours of St. John’s Church. Kids can make ornaments, 4-5:30pm cocoa and cookies in Mrs. Claus kitchen at the Barn Restaurant on Monroe St – Follow the Candy Canes!,4-5:30pm Santa and his elves at the 1887 building. 10am – 3pm charistmas Bazaar at the United Church on Elizabeth 4-6pm wagon rides next to Town Hall, candy elves, caroling and live camel strolling around town. Display of nativity sets and angels in the Holy Name of Mary Church Hall on Martha Street . 4:30pm – Reindog Parade on Washington St. 6pm Living Nativity at the Gazebo.

Description: This Christmas wonderland begins on Friday, November 23rd. The Village of Ellicottville, a Norman Rockwell painting in the making, will be the background for beautiful strolling choirs harmonizing all our favorite Christmas carols. The smell of hot chocolate, hot apple cider and the decorated windows in this historic 19th century village will bring back thoughts of a Christmas past. As the daylight comes to an end a spectacle unlike any other will appear as the village of Ellicottville comes to life in white Christmas lights and the three story tall Christmas tree is lit up. Throughout the event, activities will include Christmas carolers, reindeer, hot-chocolate,cookie decorating, horse and wagon rides as well as Fire Truck rides with Santa.

Description: Holiday Valley Resort, the Ellicottville Brewing Company and Southern Tier Brewery will host the 9th Annual Beer and Wine Festival at Holiday Valley’s Yodeler Lodge on Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 3:30 to 7:30 PM. Guests will be able to sample a variety of hand-crafted beers from over 30 of the best New York State and American craft breweries and wines from New York, Southern Ontario and Ellicottville vintners. Live music by Big Leg Emma!

Brewers include: Sierra Nevada, Magic Hat, Great Lakes, Erie Brewing, Saranac, Southern Tier, Ellicottville Brewing, John Harvard’s, Ithaca, Roerhbac, Woodchuck, Custom Beer Crafters, Butter Nutts, Original Sin Cider, Harpoon, Voodoo, Smutty Nose, Long Trail, Hebrew and Otter Creek…plus many more! Wineries include several of New York’s award winners like Miles and Fulkerson plus Heron Hill, Fox Run, Merritt and the Winery of Ellicottville.

Holiday Valley Mud Run

Description: The first annual Holiday Valley Mudslide is scheduled for Saturday, June 16, 2012. Preregistration will be available until May 30 at Active.com for $45 for the 3.5 mile run and $10 for the kids’ run. A 6 mile course is also in the planning stages. Day of race registration is from 8AM to 10AM and is $60 for the 3.5 mile run, $15 for the kids run. Preregistered competitors are guaranteed a t-shirt. All competitors will receive a goody bag.
